From the moment we landed in Lukla and started the long journey to Base Camp, we were in awe of the scenery and the atmosphere of the mighty Himalayas. It is very much like going back in time. The nepalese people life very basic lives and are so hardworking, this adds to the experience. it was a demanding trek, And we were affected by altitude sickness at times. Overall one of the most rewarding things we have ever done.
Nimesh is the BEST guide ever!! I started the Everest Base Camp trek with Nimesh in March 2019, and I absolutely loved having him as my guide. At every step, from the initial pre-trip meeting to handling flights to Lukla to directing the porters and dealing with our crazy group, Nimesh was kind, patient, steadfast and intelligent. I hurt my ankle in Namche Bazaar and, since I insisted on continuing, Nimesh quickly arranged a horse and horseman to take me to Tengboche. He treated my ankle that night with knowledge and care. When the next morning it became apparent I could not go on, he immediately called a helicopter and had me on it in less than 20 minutes, then had his friend meet me in Lukla to meet the helicopter and arrange the flight back to Kathmandu. I cant imagine what it would have been like to try to do all this myself, but Nimesh handled the situation with empathy and urgency. Nimeshs insight into the culture, expert counsel to his clients and skill on the trail are beyond compare. Plus, hes a great conversationalist and very funny, and truly wants to learn about his clients. I am returning this year for another EBC trip with Ace, and insisted on having Nimesh as my guidebecause I wanted the best, and thats what he is. I cant wait!
Wonderful Himalayan Experience with Green Valley The 3 Passes Trek was an awesome adventure. Over 16 days we experienced great views and charming mountain villages. We are glad we got off the busier route with so many people just doing the EBC trek, but still glad to have gone too to check it off the bucket list. Each of the three passes provided a unique view of the Himalayas, and while often challenging - worth every step. Some of our favourite moments were standing on top of the highest pass, Kongma La, overlooking the partially frozen lake and the walk over a glacier to get to Cho La pass.
