A life-changing trip with Alpine Ramble I just found this local operator browsing online and I can consider very lucky. Communication was fast and easy and I was looking just for a porter cum guide and for the EBC trek and a guide for 3 days in Kathmandu. Dil provided me an excellent porter cum guide with extremely competitive prices. We met once I arrived at the hotel in KTM and we agreed for the itinerary. Dil was always present, everyday careful that everything was going as planned. Also, due to a delay on my arrival to KTM and an anticipated flight back, he was very helpful in contacting the flight company for adjusting the flight dates although I purchased the ticked by myself many months ahead.Once back to KTM with 3 days in advance (in order to avoid a snow storm which would have kept me stuck in Lukla), he organized a tour with a super professional, expert and talkative guide (Rajesh) and driver.Lastly, he came to pick me up at the hotel to bring me to the airport for my flight back to Italy.I would and I strongly will recommend the operator to all my friends who are planning to visit Nepal due to its perfect organization.
A beautiful trekking route different than Annapurna My name is August and I am from Germany. I did Manaslu Trek with my wife on 2016 October with the help of local tour specialists. I did Annapurna Trek in the past and this time I wanted to go to less crowded trek and Manaslu was great option. We were not favored by weather for first few days but everything came to our side once we reached Samagaon. The weather started to become perfect and the views were incredible. I would recommend Manaslu Trek for everyone looking for less commercialized trekking in Nepal. Enjoy being in the Himalayas!
Short review of the EBC trek with Himalayan Leisure, Inc. - May 2018 It is difficult to give a short review of this trek. It really is, because during the whole hike you have an overwhelming sensation of awe and your senses work like they have never worked before. I would recommend the EBC trek to all enthusiasts and all people who want to see the beauty of the Himalayas. It is not that strenuous (in the end). Of course, at times you will be cold and tired but it is all worth of it. Every single drop of sweat. The moment you get out of Kathmandu you are in a different world. No cars, no pollution, just yaks, donkeys, nice people and mountains. PS. Walk slowly and drink a lot (at least above 3400 m). This is the only way. PSS. Lukla sometimes gets pretty cloudy and no planes can fly back to Kathmandu. Please take some (approx 500 USD) spare USD/EURO or any hard currency to get you back to Kathmandu by a helicopter. Otherwise you might spend the last day(s) of your otherwise fantastic trip nervous and angry waiting for a plane that could not land.
