Th trek: truly outstanding, we had an amazing guide and never encountered problems to find beds in guest houses. Our guide took such good care of all of us, checking our health and fatigue. He was also very involved with the life of the group, spending evenings with us playing cards and so on. For the actual trek, it was definetly very very physical and exhausting but the scenery and the achievement worth it ! I loved my trek
The scenery was awesome and the trek challenging but within the range of anyone of normal fitness who's done a bit of hill walking. The tour leader and guides were friendly and supportive.
EBC Trek... A Once in a Lifetime Experience The trek was challenging mentally and physically, but one of the all-time greatest experiences of my life. I still think about the experience EVERY DAY. Our group was a collection of people from all over and I was the only solo female trekker in the group of 13. I always felt looked after by our guide, Ram (Anurag Basnet), and included by the rest of the group. Ram always had our safety and well being in mind -- he was constantly checking in with everyone and we had nightly oxygen saturation tests. We had 3 assistant guides that were not just assistants, but leaders and care takers for our group (thanks to the assistants Donah, Dupka, and Bikram!!). Our 6 porters were the real heroes of the bunch -- they haul all the gear and smile while doing their job! We all managed to make it up to base camp from Lukla and back down to Lukla without any helicopter intervention -- a very successful trekking experience.
