PERFECT TREK FOR COMPACT SCHEDULE This trek was a perfect choice for a first introduction to the Himalayas and was great for a schedule that included more sightseeing around Nepal. My guide Dipak was very knowledgeable and flexible being able to cater the trip and make changes to improve as we went. He was also accommodating outside of the trek making sure I was taken good care of and had everything I needed to enjoy my stay. I'd highly recommend him to anyone looking to do trekking in Nepal
Memorable trek to upper Mustang I did a trek with the local operator. Sujan was our guide and Tsiring and another fellow our porters. Agency has organized everything from auto bus to pokhara, flights, permits. Trek was fantastic. Owner has found out alternative treks in order to avoid the new road. It was 3rd time form me in Nepal. For sure not last one. So it's time to go to nepal. Go and come again. Such a beautiful place with beautiful people.
If You're Lucky, Raj Will Be Your Guide They take care of everything. Reply promptly to any questions. Have great guides and porters. Have great suggestions for what to pack. Accommodations are VERY near the offices. So many pluses. A couple suggestions, there is a weight limit on the flight to Lukla. Ask them what that is and take time to pack according. There is a small fee for being overweight. Give the porters a break though. Stick to the limits. You can find almost any gear you want or need in KTM. BUT, purchase your footwear at home and have them broken in. In KTM, you can buy slightly used gear, or even off-name brand gear that is still excellent quality. The new, name brand gear is still spendy. Anything you want or need, you can get in KTM. Make a list, pack it with you. Fill your needs in KTM, save some money, enjoy the purchase process, throw the locals a bone, and don't worry about lost baggage on your way there. Plan some extra time in KTM if possible. There is so much to experience. Have a Red Yak for me!
