One of the Best Experiences I have had so far! Annapurna Base Camp Trek with the local tour operator in March 2016 was more than amazing. The views from both base camps were incredible and the staffs were very helpful. It was one of the best travel experiences in my life and I had an amazing time on the trek. Even though I didn't have many trekking experiences in the past, it was a beautiful journey for me.
After speaking to WE, decided over 50's EBC trek was best option. The WE team on the trek led by Randeep supported by Covinder, were exceptional. Special mention to Moan who provided really good food throughout. Allowing 17 days for the trek provided lots of acclimatisation which enabled most people to reach EBC. Thought the trek back was on the same route but was along a trail to Pheriche where there were very few people and absolutely beautiful.
Amazing experience! Couldn't find this anywhere else. I did the ABC trek as a trekking novice, didn't have any prior trekking experience and I am the kind that sits in the office all day and go to the gym ~3 times a week. So, it's definitely challenging for me, especially the first 2 days but once I got passed the constant ache in my muscle, I am able to carry on and enjoy the view of the amazing ABC trek. A lot of unforgettable experience, it was raining for a lot of days, we were drenched and got leeches on our bodies, we sat by the fire place at night to try to warm and dry ourselves, woke up at 4 in the morning and trekked in the dark for a glimpse of sunrise on Poon Hill. It truly is the most wonderful challenge to the body and mind, it's not easy but I love the time there. On a side note, I met so many interesting and wonderful people on the trek, from age 7 to 70+ and from all over the world. We all get the opportunity to sit down and talk under that faint light of whichever hostel we stayed in.
