Although we did not get extensive views of the Annapurna Mountain range because of the permanent mist (it was February) the trek took me through beautiful places, old villages and farmlands which gave a fascinating glimpse into a past way of living. The actual walking was not hard, because of the excellent pacing of my guide, but I a not sure that I would have enjoyed the uphill days as much in the height of summer. For me coming from the moderate Highlights of Northern India and Nepal trip it was the right amount of exertion.

Everest Base Camp, the trip of a lifetime made even better and more enjoyable with our guides Raj and Surya. Our group were from different cities of Australia and got on very well, the younger ones had a great time and the Sydney team are still having a good time together.The view, absolutely fantastic everywhere you look. I was at the back of the pack and Surya stayed with me all the way and looked after me.

Our guide for this trip was Raju Mainali. He and Chris Chhetri worked diligently to make sure our trip was fun and safe and adapted to each of our team's specific needs. Raju really knew the mountains and the trails, as well as the tea houses, and made sure they were the best. He was pleasant and helpful throughout and very encouraging even though the trek itself was challenging. I recommend him completely.
