I had never been to Nepal before. And I had a truly incredible experience. We had a great time in each of the places we visited—Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Chitwan, Lumbini, and Pokhara. The staff, tour guides, and drivers were all very friendly and accommodating. The peace pagoda in Pokhara was really beautiful. I have never witnessed such a pretty view.
Wonderful fulfilling experience Clear blue skies and fantastic vistas every day in late March 2016. I was 58 at the time and found the trek to be very doable. There were trekkers much older than me that accomplished it as well. In the teahouse dining rooms each evening, we enjoyed the company of travelers from the most diverse nationalities I have ever encountered in such a short time frame. There seemed to be an almost equal number of females as males. The menus are surprisingly full given that almost all of the food must be carried in. Every day brings rewarding scenery and passage through isolated villages. After Dingboche, the villages are there only to service the trekkers and the altitudes are probably too high to support farming. All in all a wonderful fulfilling experience.
Book, book, book !! The only thing you will regret is not booking. I was flying solo on this trip and got about 1 hour into landing in Kathmandu before meeting other people doing EBC and also some awesome locals making my trip anything but solo. It was a last min booking with this tour operator and it just so happens that it was the absolute right decision and choice. I had a private room on every night being end of session and the guide and porter where both really amazing. The more I got to know them the easier we connected and where able to joke, Laugh and genuinely enjoy the trip together. You honestly need to book this trip if your looking at, your meant to do it. Dont stand in the way of your own successes. Book, enjoy and be awesome. You wont regret it. Chad M
