Khopra Ridge / Annapurna

Originally booked on the Annapurna Sanctuary trek, as the first trek of the new season this got changed due to danger of avalanches on the original route, so we were rescheduled to walk the Khopra Ridge. This proved an excellent alternative. Considering the time of year the weather was kind to us, all except the early morning trek up Poon Hill, not much to see in a snow storm, but that only added to the adventure. The walking was tough, the terrain unrelenting, the snow drifts in parts deep, but the views stunning. Reading the trip notes was invaluable to adjust our "western expectations" to local conditions. The accommodation although basic was just what was needed and very welcome at the end of a long days walk. It was a constant amazement considering where we were trekking, as to how well feed we were, the food was wholesome, well cooked and in large proportions. A real battle to burn it off the next day. As a small group, 5 clients and 5 staff we managed to crack on, to get the walks done easily within the expected times, this may not be so with a larger group. Being a smaller group we also had more room in the tea houses. The fact we all got on well and had a good group leader and support staff made this a very enjoyable trip. Really glad to have done this, and walked in the Himalayas at last. Would recommend.
Everest Base Camp trek

My friend and I booked the 12 days EBC trekking package. This was our 2nd time to Nepal. Nevertheless, on the 7th day of our trek, the devastating Nepal Earthquake happened. We were really blessed and protected by God throughout the next 6 days, and I think one of the biggest reason is because we have good support of mountain guide Arjun and porters who had worked their very best to ensure our remaining trek as safe as possible. On the days before the earthquake, the tea-house that we stayed are reasonably comfortable (we have make mental preparation that we are coming for trekking tour, not luxury tour). Some even with hot shower! The team works far more than what I had mentioned above. I'm safely back home without any severe health / injury issue. They are sincere people. They did their best to keep us safe though they have bigger worries and urgency for their home and family. Words couldn't express how much I appreciate what our tour operator has done. The beauty of Nepal and Nepalese will always remain in my heart.

We did the ABC trek straight up and straight down which was beautiful. We didn't have much time but we had strong desire to visit the Base camp and we succeed. It's scenic route with lovely small villages along the trek. Even though the route was very busy, the guide made sure that the lodge was booked in destination before we reached. Great experience!
