I trekked the base camp trail in the last September and it was truly a mesmerizing experience. The views, the weather, the environment everything were literally amazing. The guides and porters were very friendly and entertaining. Special thanks to Mr. Devi for providing us such a good team. It will always be one of the finest and memorable experience for me.

Subal, our leader, as fantastic. He far exceeded expectations. The camps and associated infrastructure were up to expectations. However the shared tea houses were disappointing. Having said that the overall experience was fantastic. A once in a lifetime experience

Tougher in winter but quiet

Going valley in the morning over 4000m was severe coldness in winter because no sunshine due to surrounding mountains and wind. (Dingboche to Lobche) It might be better to add 1 more layer, considering the weather. Since a bit earlier than year end holiday, I could spend more quiet time. On the way to back, I met more people who were going up. Mr Bibek, the guide was knowledgeable and explained the mountains. He was good advisor also for health conditions but you should know yourself first.
