The team was put together superbly, very helpful, supportive and knowledgeable. Met a group of like minded, friendly people- totally recommend to any person(s) wanting a unique, well organised adventure.
Amazing place, amazing people, this trip will change your life. Only advice, check the size of your group, I think smaller would be better, even check to see if you can get a private group and guide. Despite reviews for this trek saying is was moderate, I think you need a good base of fitness to actually enjoy it, the whinging of the less fit ruins the serenity of the trek. Went end of March, so there were hot days, as well as snow, so it was a fantastic mix. Off peak is still quite busy, would hate to see how busy on peak is. Take hand sanitiser, head buff x3 (wool, try icebreaker), and zinc. There is wifi at teahouses, but this is a great time to unconnect - trust me you wont miss it. If you are reading this to decide if you should do it, BOOK TODAY - it will change your life - can't wait to go back.
Excellent but challenging This is a great trip but not what you might expect ! !.. the scenery is fantastic, with clear skies, mountain views, green valleys and rushing bubbling rivers. The people are friendly and we saw many happy smiling children wanting to say hello as we walked through their villages.... prayer wheels and flags are a regular recurring feature on all the trails...and watch out for the trains of yaks and donkeys carrying everything up and down the 'very dusty' trails. Long days and in winter frigid temperatures above 4,000 metres when the sun goes down, but the sun warms nicely during the day. A slow steady pace on the way up with constant descents and ascents but on well formed paths.
