Firstly ,i would like to say that the team at this tour company were excellent from the initial booking all the way to the end of the tour. The tour itself, was first rate covering all the essential areas of Southern Peru. The scenery on the tour was exceptional and varied, from desert to the High Andes, which made the early starts and long journeys very enjoyable. Overall, fabulous trip !!
The Titicaca extension is an enjoyable and good value addition to the Inca Trail. If leave isn't an issue I would definitely recommend this extension (after the trail). Don't be put off by the long drive - it's a comfortable coach and includes 4 sightseeing stops and a buffet lunch.
Amazing trip, 2 Days and 1 Night with the two of us. Unfortunately I got a knee injury a couple days earlier and could walk very little, especially walking down was painful. After explaining this to the tour operator, I could still do the expedition and join at 17:00 pm on day1 and thus still visit Machu Picchu together on Day 2. My girlfriend did the hike on Day 1 without me which made me a bit scared. The hike is still a challenge. Our guide Renaldo suggested to call her during lunch to see how she was doing. Before lunch, he also sent a video of how she was doing. I really appreciate his effort of contacting me the first day although I was not hiking on Day 1. Day 2 we did together and it was amazing, the view, the civilization, the rituals, the stories, the company. On Day2, Renaldo put extra effort and asked if I could see Machu Picchu from above, which you only could see if you hiked on Day1. Via a shortcut I could walk up and still see Picchu from above. Really really appreciate this. Thank you.
