We had a fantastic week in Catalonia! The hotels in Salou, Lleida, and Barcelona were awesome (especially the Parador in Lleida), but not the hotel in Lloret de Maret (Guitart Gold Central Park). It was a low-quality food and accommodations hotel mostly directly to Senior citizens, not to mention the terrible customer service we experienced. The itinerary could improve: the Barcelona day should be placed either at the beginning or the end of the tour, and the Costa Brava day could include little beautiful towns such as Tossa de Mar and Tiramiu (as we did). Overall it was a GREAT way to experience and get to know Catalonia outside of Barcelona.
Stars aligned for this trip, Outstanding Lead, Landscape, hosts and crew.
Our guide Dan, had a bit of style and swagger. instilled confidence in all the group making all the walks of Sierra Nevada a stroll in the park.
Hotel Los Berchurles a welcome retreat full of charactor and warmth. Wendy, Shelia, Alejandro and Omar, all served us well.
Our fellow guests was the final part in the alignment and it was great to share anniversaries, quizs, horse wrestling with them all.
Comfortable accommodation in wonderful surroundings, excellent meals, varied and challenging walks led by a knowledgeable and proficient guide with a real passion for the area, its history and culture. The packed lunches praised in previous customer reviews did not disappoint.
