The Coastal Portuguese Camino is a fabulous walk....great scenery, mostly very well marked paths etc, great hotels and food. The first half is relatively quiet but after Vigo the paths get busier. Met lots of fellow Camino pilgrims.....
A very enjoyable week walking the Picos A very enjoyable trip. The Hotel Torrecerrado is a pleasant hotel just a few minutes walk from Arenas De Cabrales. The rooms were basic but comfortable, there is a well stocked bar with a terrace that offers incredible views of the mountains. The staff are friendly and helpful. The evening meals were of exceptional quality, I really wasn't expecting food to be so good. Lewis our guide was super friendly and took us on some very enjoyable walks. The Picos area is huge, we only scratched the surface of what's on offer. Honestly, I had never even heard of the Picos de Europa before seeing it on the Exodus website, it's an absolute gem that offers huge potential.
Cycle The Camino de Santiago A wonderful experience overall, we enjoyed walking through pine forests, pretty villages, farmland and countryside with stunning views
Our guide Josea was friendly and fun and very passionate about his job.... he cared about the welfare of everyone in the group and always ready willing and able to give advise and treat our blisters.
Hosea took us to all the best cafes and restaurants where we enjoyed very fresh locally produced food and wine.
All our baggage transfers went extremely smoothly and the hotels were all of a really good standard.
