I found the holiday in most ways excellent, and exceeded my expectations. I wanted to get closer to the country and 'touch' it, feel the culture more and the ability to cycle at times freely was fantastic to do this. What beautiful and enchanting country.

We enjoyed the tour and in the process learnt about the resistance the Vietnamese people put up during the war. Miss Hoa's extensive knowledge and her passion for her country helped a great deal. One suggestion I would like to make, it would be a good idea to provide free cold water bottles for the duration of the tour since it gets very hot and humid, just like the other tours I went on made this provision. The heat did get to us and we soon ran out of water that we had carried. The next place we could get a drink was only at the Cu Chi Tunnel site.

This trip exceeded our expectations. We had previously done cycle Cuba and loved it but this trip was better. Everything from the hotels, the glorious food, the mix of cycle days/rest days, the trip leader Long, the endless smiles from children and families as we cycled through their villages and the really lovely group we were part of all made this a trip to remember. There were 17 in the group which sounds very large but as we all got on, everyone mixed and everyone supported each other, it turned out to be the backbone of why the trip was so successful. The crew lead by Long also made the holiday.
