Three very diverse countries A great trip through three very diverse countries. Logistics executed seamlessly by our guide Chai and all three local teams. I cannot praise them enough. The first few days in Thailand are a bit tough due to the heat and long cycling routes, sometimes with no shade but that's all forgotten with the beauty of the temples of Cambodia and the Mekong Delta as you head into Vietnam. A mix of vibrant capital cities, bustling towns and peaceful villages. There's never a dull moment on this trip.
This was my first cycling trip - but it won't be my last! I had a fabulous time traveling with my friend and 2 other people (a very small group) the past few weeks. The highlights were cycling in Thailand - the roads are fantastic (seriously, they're better than in the US/UK...) and the countryside is beautiful, and the support team are fun and helpful; then Angkor Wat in Cambodia - just unmissable, and super to be able to experience them on bike; and then cycling down the Mekong Delta in Vietnam - literally hundreds of children running out to say hello, and an amazing variety of sights and smells as you cycle along tiny back roads.
A great introduction to Vietnam This was my first trip to Asia and the itinerary was excellent. We visited 3 main places Hanoi, Hoi An and Ho Chi Minh city. All very different but fascinating in their own ways. The trips to Halong Bay and the Mekong delta were also fascinating and very different. The Mekong delta used basic boats and Halong Bay boat was very comfortable with excellent food and service. We also had a great visit to cookery school where lesson was presented very well and with great humour. The visit to Angkor wat was fascinating and more impressive than anticipated. A great introduction to Asia
