Fantastic trip with great cycling, cultural and historical aspects. The entire trip exceeded my expectations for the quality of bikes to accommodation and food. The cycling was relaxed and, although mostly on main roads, traffic was not heavy (unlike the headwinds!) and there was always full back up with the support bus. The food was simple but tasty and the casa's were comfortable and far more interesting than staying in a hotel. Cuba was fantastic and everything we needed was available, just be prepared for some unreliability such as lack of hot water, toilet paper etc
A great trip on land, underground and on the sea. My wife and I are over 75 years old, but fit. We hiked and climbed Mayan pyramids, swam and trekked through an underground cave, snorkeled and dove reefs and shopped and dined in local markets. We took some extra trips, but passed on those, such as scaling an active volcano, that were not our cup of tea. By car, van, bus, boat, bike and foot, the adventure was always interesting. The tour guide handled all arrangements and ironed out the occasional glitch. However, he would arrange for local guides who had regional knowledge and views. We met many typical residents of three countries and interacted with them on a close and personal level.
Yanet, our guide, was exceptional because of his professionalism, in depth knowledge, wealth of information of his culture, and wicked sense of humor. This tour exceeded my expectations,. It was truly amazing and I experienced the "REAL" Cuba. The 9 Day Essential tour enabled me to engage in the people, food, music, history, and culture of Cuba, It was well planned with extraordinary experiences, constant communications and updates on our daily schedules and alternatives if wanted. ABSOLUTELY AWESOME! Thank you Linda Sydney, Australia.
