Just back from the 18 day Coast to Coast Rambler. Overall the level of accommodation was great. From quirky hotels to great old pubs and marvellous B&Bs. The hosts were welcoming and the meals memorable. The walk itself was a bit of a challenge in the Lake District but it soon smoothed out to rolling hills and lovely views across the moors. It was great meeting and chatting to other people on the walk, from first timers like us to people doing it for the tenth time. Everyone had a story to tell and advice to willingly pass on. With a bit of training I think most people could do this walk. Walk some hills, have good footwear and be prepared for an every changing landscape across England.

This was my first overseas hiking adventure and probably would not be the last because of my terrific experience and confidence that I can manage it at my age (65) and with my physical stamina. It was terrific because I signed up only one week before the adventure started and everything was efficiently arranged and there was no hiccup at all (except for flight delay from London to Zagreb which was more an airline problem). The group leader was exceptional and the small group of 13 afforded a rather amicable relationship in no time. Our itinerary and what to expect was explained to us clearly every day and special efforts have been made to cater to our culinary needs in the evenings. Croatia is indeed a very scenic country and you would not regret signing up for this adventure.

Great itinerary. I saw what I wanted to see. A bit hectic for a few days, waking up very early to catch a flight to Aswan then wake up early again to drive to Abu Simbel. But has a morning rest on the 3rd day and then 2 days rest in Hurghada. It was too cold to do much water activities. Hurghada accomodation is great with free drinks. Really enjoyed the tour with great group and tour guides.
