This trip was the perfect mix of incredible scenery, food and party life. The extras were all fantastic and our tour guide was amazing. We had the best time and want to keep reliving it. Memories to last a lifetime.

The north of Thailand was my FAVOURITE. I loved the diverse range of 'stays' which kept it exciting and much like an adventure and showed what Thailand had to offer. The Jungle Raft on the second night was an essential bonding experience for the group and allowed us to build friendships and enjoy the trip way more than if we hadn't had that crucial opportunity to connect. The included experiences, free time add ons, and even trip manager suggestions were all top tier! I didn't regret a single experience. 2 night stays were also a relief as travelling can get quite tiring and found that their timing was essential.

It was a great trip!! our tour manager was incredible and all the other guides in each country were also amazing. Shoutout to our guide is Malaysia!! He was so passionate and gave us a great true experience of Malaysia. Bangkok to Singapore Adventure is a bit different from other contiki trips since we joined an already existing group and there were people joining and leaving throughout.

My family (husband and daughter) and I had a wonderful time on this adventure to Singapore and Malaysia. The hotels in the large cities were nicely appointed and located conveniently close to eateries and shopping malls. The breakfast in the hotels had a wide selection of delicious food to choose from, especially at the Paradox Hotel. The guides were friendly and informative. The drivers were skilled, especially the one in Malaysia who had to navigate a large bus through narrow winding roads on a stretch of mountain with motorcyclists weaving between cars. My only complain would the the meal on our 1st night in Singapore which consisted of American bar food (fries, fish sticks, fried cauliflower, quesadilla, chicken skewers). I did try a Singapore Sling. I was hoping for a Singaporean cuisine to start our trip. I also think that visiting 1 wet market and 2 villages was enough. My family skipped the 3rd village tour and 2nd wet market. Instead, we preferred spending time perusing local shops, trying local cuisine and snacks, and experiencing a foot reflexology which was popular. Luckily, we packed appropriately for the sudden daily downpour with thunder (raincoat) and hot temperature (UV umbrella, hat portable electric fan). In Malaysia, always carry toilet paper since not all restrooms have them. As a bonus, our group of 22 became close friends and watched out for each other. I would highly recommend this trip to others.

Excellent

What made this trip really special was how different each day felt. One day we were walking through old temples, the next we were sailing on a quiet bay. Vietnam was full of surprises. The people were friendly, the food was amazing, and every place had something new to offer. Ha Long Bay was a real highlight. The boat ride through those tall limestone rocks felt peaceful and looked like something from a movie. Even the meals on the boat were great! I also liked how we didn’t just rush from place to place. There was time to look around, take pictures, and enjoy it all. Hoi An was beautiful with all the lanterns, and Hue had some really interesting history. Our guide explained everything in a simple and fun way, which made it more enjoyable. Then we went to Singapore, and it felt like getting into the future. It was super clean and modern, but still full of culture. The Gardens by the Bay were stunning, especially at night. Everything on this tour ran butter smooth, the flights, the hotels, the transport. It was easy to relax and enjoy. Already thinking of booking a Korea tour. Really impressed by how they manage things!

Need extra day / days in Singapore and definitely an extra day in Kuala Lumpur. The whole tour was amazing. Malaysia is hugely interesting. The food is out of this world. The tour is great but could do a little bit of tweaking. I feel that Explore should implore you to have an extra couple of days before the tour in Singapore and they should include an additional day in Kuala Lumpur as one day was not enough. They could all even shorten the tour by removing a day in Langkawi but also encourage you to have another day there on your own as it is a beautiful end of tour relaxation resort

Singapore Tours — Highlights and Travel Tips

Singapore, once considered to be a mere hop-over in favor of more exotic locales in Asia, has now emerged as one of the top travel destinations on the planet. One of the things that sets the city apart from most of Asia is its groundbreaking architecture. The city is home to some of the most magnificent examples of engineering, right from the solar power super trees of Gardens by the Bay to Marina Bay Sands.

Singapore is also famous as a haven for kids. It may not bring all those childhood Disney characters to life, but it certainly presents a range of theme parks and exciting rides in Sentosa Island. Universal Studios Singapore is sure to be the biggest highlight of Sentosa, but you’re equally likely to fall in love with attractions such as Port of the Lost Wonder, Dolphin Lagoon, Song of the Sea and Underwater World.

Tour Highlights

  • Explore Marina Bay and discover attractive waterfront, great shopping, marvelous landmarks such as the Marina Bay Sands, the Helix Bridge, and cultural venues like the Art Science Museum and parks with wildlife.
  • Go to the Gardens by the Bay, the multi-awarded horticultural establishment and one of Singapore’s top attractions. Acquaint yourself with plants from all over the world and observe the Gardens from the OCBC Skyway.
  • Visit the Buddha Tooth Relic Museum in Chinatown to get acquainted with the Buddhism. Also, examine mythological beings and Buddhist relics.
  • In Little India, take a look at Hindu, Muslim and Buddhist structures and enjoy great shopping.
  • Visit Sri Veeramakaliamman and Sri Srinivasa Perumal temples in Little India, devoted to Hindu deities Kali and Vishnu.
  • Enjoy splendidly landscaped areas of the Singapore Botanic Gardens.
  • Take a Singapore Cable Car ride between Sentosa Island and Mount Faber to experience great views of the city.
  • Relax on the exotic beaches of Sentosa Island.

Travel Tips

  • Use the MRT train system to get around in Singapore efficiently.
  • Crime levels in the city-state are very low, but examine local regulations before you come to Singapore. Many ordinary things like feeding pigeons throughout the rest of the world are punishable here.
  • If you use someone’s internet without the consent, you risk a huge fine, a jail or both.
  • If you spit on the street or fail to flush a toilet, you will be badly fined.
  • ATMs are omnipresent in Singapore and major credit cards are widely accepted.
  • English is one of the official languages here.
  • Atop the Marina Bay Sands, you can enjoy swimming in a pool and appreciate views over the city.
