I really enjoyed the train tour of Italy. Most of the hotels were in walking distance of the train and easy to get to. It would've been nice to spend two nights in Venice, but I was able to see the highlights in each of the cities we visited.
lovely introduction to hiking, some hard parts but doable for a beginner. We never hiked before, so we selected this one and it's a good introduction. A few hard parts (going up to Ulleri 400m on day one, all steps; combining poon hill with hike from Gorepani to Tadapani) but doable. Gorgeous nature and never too busy or congested. three remarks - on the hot springs on day four: these are two stone basins of about 3-4m by 9-10m and pretty crowded. It's more of a party atmosphere than a relaxing soak after a day's hike. Two of our group skipped it, me and another person went and thought it average. - The sunrise on poon hill is beautiful, but crowded, you're there with about 100+ trekkers. However, this was not bothersome. Other people decided to sleep in and went for the sunset and were equally happy. - as a novice, consider trekking poles or a bamboo stick for balance on the downhill parts, and a slight aid on the steeper uphill parts. I was very happy I brought them along.
This trip more than satisfied my curiosity and interest in Albania. We cycled in lots of different regions facing different countries and seeing Albania in all its beauty. Each day offered a different type of ride, the scenery forever changing and the views always spectacular and breath-taking.
