The tour company organized an excellent trek. They made sure everyone was appropriately outfitted. Ramesh, our guide, was extremely knowledgeable and ensured we had good rooms every night and took care of all the details.

We did the W in on our own (you really do not need a guide). We loved the views and always changing beauty of nature: From glaciers with blue lakes to wonderful soft mountains with flowers and forrest. Would always do it again.

Here are some main points that should be addressed then changed: Hotels: the hotels in Fez and Marrakech need to be changed/moved. The locations are not optimal or convenient at all. When people go on these tours, they're relying on convenience. The Fez hotel was in a very sketchy part and there were protests on the street outside. The hotel in Marrakech was ridiculously far from anything on foot. There was TONS of options closer to the square and medina. This was unacceptable. Food: For the price that is listed on this tour, there should definitely be more meals included, not just breakfast. For some of the places the breakfast would only be sweet things and pastries. Not very sustainable to keep energy levels high. There should be many more lunches included. Stops on the bus: MUCH LESS stops need to be had for coffee or tea. We had breakfast one morning, and 30 minutes later we're already stopping for coffee. There is no need for anyone to be needing 5-8 stops for coffee in a day. Not only does this waste time, it adds more hours to an already long day. Additional costs: the travel specialist needs to update their price lists ASAP, and give more heads up on mandatory lunches or dinners and their costs. It derails the budget that people prepare for back home, and when surprises happen that are not mentioned earlier or are even on the itinerary, it's not fair or fun. Comes out of the budget for tipping the guides, at the end of the day. Tipping: This should be incorporated into the cost and final price and dealt with by the tour operator. Most travelers didn't even contribute to this "tipping kitty" and it made the rest of us feel bitter. As mentioned above, when additional costs, such as the tipping kitty happen, or lunches, then it comes out of the budget for the guide(s) at the end of the day. Sickness and Illness on the Tour: On our tour for the 18 days, we have two groups. One for the north, and another join halfway for the south. I personally feel the guide(s) need to pay more attention and be stricter when it comes to people being severely ill or coughing aggressively on these tours. The northern group had a few people who got sick and tested positive for COVID during the trip, which spread to the group who joined for the south point, making many people ill there too. There was ONE specific person who was ill the entire leg of the 18 days, and nothing was done about him. He did not cooperate with wearing masks and none of the guides didn't even approach him to ask him to dismiss himself from the tour. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE, AGAIN!!! This man did not even cover his mouth when coughing or sneezing. It was utterly disgusting. Additional Ideas: You should really focus on adding an actual day and showing people around Casablanca. That was a huge disappointment for many as well. Camels: The itinerary needs to be edited in the description for this day. It mentioned that the 4x4 vehicles would take us to the camels, where we would then enjoy an hour ride on our camels to get to our camp in the desert. This is not even close to what ends up happening. You get into your cars, drive for a bit, then arrive at your camp. The camels then arrived, and we did not even get an hours worth of riding the camels in a circle or a loop somewhere behind our camp. Edit the description, so people don't get disappointed.
