The 3 areas visited were fabulous. The falls at Wangi, Florence and Edith all had different aspects that made them appealing, the Yellow waters wetlands cruise and the Katherine Gorge cruise were amazing. Ubirr and Nourlangie rock art a highlight. Food varied from average to superb, but that’s part of being sometimes in some very remote areas. To have had some top quality food on offer in the lodges and on the gorge cruise was very impressive. Accommodations were fine, again, it’s the situation. The standout in this respect was Cicada Lodge in Katherine National Park (though despite food quality there being generally top notch, their food service wasn’t great).
Amazing introduction to Australia. The surf lessons at Port Stephens, sand boarding, seeing kangaroos, BBQs with the crew, and dolphin spotting were great experiences for us who were looking for a more authentic Australian trip. The group leaders were amazing at assisting us in booking our onward travel for the conclusion of the trip. Overall an amazing trip that I highly recommend.
Great Bunch of Travellers I did the Grampians and Great Ocean Road Tour from Adelaide to Melbourne on 28 November. The tour was amazing and so was our guide, Jase! He was so positive all the time, made everyone feel welcome and made sure we all got to know each other very quickly. I also appreciated that he played good music and made delicious food. I would love to do more Groovy Grape tours in the future!
