The 3 areas visited were fabulous. The falls at Wangi, Florence and Edith all had different aspects that made them appealing, the Yellow waters wetlands cruise and the Katherine Gorge cruise were amazing. Ubirr and Nourlangie rock art a highlight. Food varied from average to superb, but that’s part of being sometimes in some very remote areas. To have had some top quality food on offer in the lodges and on the gorge cruise was very impressive. Accommodations were fine, again, it’s the situation. The standout in this respect was Cicada Lodge in Katherine National Park (though despite food quality there being generally top notch, their food service wasn’t great).
I cant recommend Groovy grapes enough, by far the BEST tour company i have travelled with. From a fun filled day on the Barossa valley to the rock tour experience i will never forget. Both guides (Jerry then Jase) were extremely passionate about their jobs passing on as much local info as they could and having lots of laughs along the way. The itineraries were great and certainly packed in as much as there was to offer, you definitely get your money's worth out of these tours. I will treasure the memories made which will stay with me forever, Big love Groovy Grapes.
I recently completed the 6 day Rock 2 Water tour with Groovy (started Jan 31st) and it was without a doubt the best tour I have ever done! It was really well organised and the tour guide, Mark, was really knowledgeable. The bus was comfortable and the tunes were always bangers. Highlights for me included Uluru,Kings Canyon and sleeping in an underground dorm at Coober Pedy. Make sure you bring really comfortable walking shoes because there are some long hikes. Sleeping in a swag was an interesting experience but was actually pretty comfortable. The food was great, being a vegetarian was no issue on this trip either. Thanks again for the good times Groovy!
