The Great Britain tour was much more than expected. There were surprises, perks not listed on the itinerary. Tour leader Mike was so knowledgeable about the surroundings and history. I loved that he gave so much advance notice to watch for sites etc we would be passing. Also, great stories & humour! His music matched the sites and area listed. Bus driver, Darren was most helpful. The group was interactive & friendly. Much laughter enjoyed! All in all, it was a grand week!
Alex our driver was amazing, great personality and exceptional driving skills. Steve was very easy going and his knowledge on the history of each place was exceptional, I learnt a lot! It's a jam packed tour and you see only a very small amount of each location given the nature of the itinerary. Jungfrau is an ABSOLUTE MUST DO! It was the true highlight of the tour by far! Long days of sitting on the bus and a tight schedule makes it a perfect tour for the time poor who want to see multiple European countries
The hike was a little more challenging than I thought. It is relatively short but the terrain is rocky so you are looking down often. However, you are rewarded by the most spectacular scenery especially on the first and second days. I would say the best scenery in any of the SWCP. Accommodation and food was good. Weather was great in June with no rain (for the month). I am not the greatest fan of Penzance although it is a natural end point. I will do this trip but will push onto Mevagissey next time.
