Nothing beats the scenery in Switzerland, and this self guided cycling trip certainly gave us some incredible sights! We were lucky to have sunny weather, great hotels, help by locals if we got off track and yummy local food. The bikes were great and I can recommend an E-bike especially in Switzerland.

We did the self-guided bike tour around Lake Konstanz and added three extra days at Lindau, Schaffhausen and Konstanz. The information provided was very thorough so that we could follow the maps very easily. The hotels were all great and the included breakfasts were delicious. The luggage transfer between hotels went very smoothly. It was nice to have the extra days to explore some of the local areas. At the end of the trip we decided to take a boat from Schaffhausen to Konstanz instead of cycling the last leg. It was very hot and humid. It is good to have options on the cycling tour and there are many transportation options available in that part of Europe. The trip was very enjoyable.

I think the description of the tour should stress the fact that walking is heavily involved in this tour! I also think that the tour leader should be able to cater for all fit levels. Some members of the tour fell behind at some points and even considered not going to see certain sights so that they dont hold people up.
