Treasures of Portugal - 6 night Private Tour was FANTASTIC! The itinerary for this trip was exactly what we were looking for. It was a great way to see Portugal highlights while traveling with friends who I haven't seen in a while. Highlights were time spent in Duoro Valley and all the great food and wine consumed in the beuatiful locations along the way.
Tour very well organised, ebikes were excellent and had two rear packs and one off front. Easy to navigate with the downloads to phone and no internet needed once downloaded. Also provided with paper tour guide books. Hotels were very nice and very central to towns. Breakfast and dinner meals provided either at the Hotel or restaurants near by. Highly recommend this tour. Roads in Portugal mostly cobble stones. A few hills but bikes able to climb hills easily. Average day 50km.
We enjoyed our tour with Pedro very much. He was very knowledgeable about the history of Portugal, enthusiastic, and friendly. He packed a lot into the tour. We stopped at four places - a typical Portuguese bakery to eat custard desserts, the best beer hall in Lisbon (it was once a convent), a seafood restaurant where we got to taste typical Portuguese seafood and vinho verde, and a butcher/cheese shop to try local cheeses and drink a cherry liqueur. I learned a lot about the history of Portugal which I found to be very interesting. If you happen to have Pedro as your guide you will very satisfied with your tour.
