I am originally from London, but after buying a house in Portugal about 20 years ago, I eventually decided to move here full-time 10 years ago. Soon after, I started a travel service providing tailor-made vacations. When I first started out, I wanted to make sure that I could meet some very demanding expectations. Initially, I focused only on the Algarve region, where I live, but then the focus was increased to all of Portugal. Later on, that focus was increased again to cover all of Spain and its islands. I had to make sure I was familiar with all of the regions and cities. Now, I can say I have travelled the entire Iberian Peninsula and have the experience to offer you a wonderful vacation, no matter your interests or requirements. I know the best hotels, apartments and villas to suit all budgets. The best tour guides. The best sights to see and experiences to do. And all the different transport options to fit all budgets.

Traveling is in my DNA — I was born in Vancouver, Canada, but lived in Spain throughout my youth, and made many trips to Scotland with my family visiting the homeland of our ancestors. For me, traveling is innate. I love learning about different cultures and exploring places around the world, especially in the natural environment. I am an inquisitive person with lots of energy to arrange the best possible unique holidays for visitors to Spain and Portugal. After having studied tourism in Galicia, Spain, I have now traveled and arranged trips to all the destinations I can cover. I believe strongly in sustainable, responsible, and slow tourism. For example, in the itineraries that I create, I can help visitors explore the destination in a "slow food" style, which includes walking and enjoying the delicious gastronomy of each place that you visit!

I love to communicate, I breathe creativity, and I always seek to overcome any challenge. I'm also very passionate about the sandy beaches of Portugal, especially the beauty of the western coast, where I was born and bred. Watching the sunset at the end of an afternoon is for me one of the best experiences in Portugal. My background is in marketing and human relations. Now, I'm very happy sharing stories and curiosities about the highlights of Portugal and helping travelers have an amazing time while in my country. I love to make my clients feel at home and show them what my country has that makes it so special for us Portuguese. Portugal may be very small in size but it is big in its history and culture. It is also a very safe country. Perhaps the best of all, it has wine and great food!

I was born and grew up in Guimarães, the “cradle of the nation” of Portugal, a medieval city with a cinquecentist center and wonderful gastronomy. It's located 30 minutes away from the city of Porto and it has an important history. I always encourage foreigners to visit. After graduating in International Relations, I went on to get a master's degree in Tourism Management. While studying, I decided to venture out and do an internship in the center of Europe to learn about different cultures and have new experiences. While there, I also developed an enthusiasm for my own country, especially the beautiful historical places and diverse gastronomy of the north, and decided I wanted to share it with people from around the world. I wish to develop myself in the area of inbound tourism and also the attractiveness of Portugal.

I was born and raised in Sintra, Portugal. My great passions are my hometown, driving and exploring new places. When I was younger, I worked as a flight attendant for three years and this experience motivated me to start a business of my own in the tourism industry, which has brought me infinite possibilities. I love to meet new people and show them the best of Portugal. Besides tourism, I love cars and everything that comes with them. When I can, I like to take a couple of hours every day to walk by myself and discover new places to show to my clients, like mysterious caves or amazing viewpoints. Since a very young age I’ve been traveling around the country, trying to discover as much as possible about it, which eventually led me to work in this industry. My name is Sean O'Rourke and I am not your average travel specialist! Fascinated with the Celtic world, perhaps because of my Scottish and Irish roots, I am a Canadian who has been living in Vigo, Galicia, for over 20 years. Previously to living in Vigo, Galicia I spent years in Barcelona and Madrid. Other countries I have lived and visited are Greece, Italy, Scotland, Ireland, Canada and more. I am the co-founder of Eat & Walkabout, and I dedicate my time organizing vacations for individuals and small groups, mostly from the United States of America and Canada. In just a few days, these travellers enjoy to all degrees the excellence of various wines and gastronomy of Spain and Portugal. I also like to write articles about food and wine and have collaborated with magazines like Wines From Spain News, Conde Nast Traveller, Fodor's, and others. One of my many pastimes is the study of Ancient Celtic history, Galicia and it's connection to the other Celtic nations (Scotland, Ireland, Wales, Cornwall, Brittany and Isle of Man). While I was still in high school, the prospect of a 9 to 5 job gave me uncomfortable tingles, and I knew I had to find a career that would allow me to travel. That concept was not a thing at the time, but I had to start somewhere! I started out as an intern at a travel agency, doing all sorts of tasks back when airline tickets were small printed booklets. From there, I moved on to guiding tours. Now, I specialize in showcasing our beautiful country to foreigners, sharing its wonders and unique experiences. This journey has allowed me to combine my love for travel with my career, creating a fulfilling and exciting path that keeps me constantly exploring and sharing my passion with others. And I love it!
