Walking the Island of Madeira

The trip to Madeira was awesome. Seeing different landscapes and vegetation each day made for a great hiking experience. Guide was excellent and knew the island and culture very well.

Relaxing walking in a relatively undiscovered part of Portugal - beautiful coastal scenery, great food (lots of fish!), great company. Our little group was SO happy to get away post-pandemic! The walking was highly enjoyable, and relatively undemanding for an Exodus trip - though some of the sand dunes can be good for the thighs! The first two hotels were fine, but the Sagres place is a REAL treat - a fabulous place to end the trip. I really did not want to come home.

I enjoyed seeing all the cities on this tour from interacting with locals to eating their foods and drinking great wines. Beautiful Architecture, Paintings, learning about Portugal culture I hope to make it back to Porto and spend more time in this area.
