Wonderful,..but no hairdryer! This trip had it all, three amazing countries, good accommodation, wonderful food, excellent company and the most personable, knowledgable, competent guides. We crossed two borders, changed bikes and teams and had one unfortunate incident but all was dealt with professionally and seamlessly. Nut, Mr Tao, Kong, Linn and all those whose names I have forgotten, or cannot spell, were so lovely, they managed to stay cheerful, introduced us to some fantastic eating places, kept us all fed watered and entertained throughout. I think Nut’s guitar playing had the edge over Linn’s singing but both were memorable.
All three counteries have so much history, it was truly fascinating and left us wishing we had longer to explore. We learnt so much about rice growing, tapioca, rubber, palm sugar, knife making, spring roll making and the effects of snake wine (don’t try it wearing Lycra Rob). I also learnt how to survive two nights without a hairdryer, helmet head is not a pretty sight!
Based on this whistle stop experience we shall certainly return, the cycle Vietnam trip is calling! A big thank you to everyone from Exodus, and to the other wonderful people on the trip for making the whole experience so memorable.
Tommy - Tommy was a great tour guide, really attentive and always made sure that everyone felt comfortable and included. He would knock on your door in the morning to make sure you’re ok and it’s little things like that which made tommy stand out because it showed he cared. He was good at pumping people up and makings S sure everyone in the group was happy, anyone that has Tommy on the tour is v lucky. Non - Will really miss non when I get back home, his energy and laugh has made this trip. Really funny person and could always count on him to make you smile, he was good at making sure everyone was ok and would never let anyone feel left out. Minty - really organised guide, would always know the day before and really in-depth guide on what we would do and see. You would feel safe with minty because you knew that she knew everything. Really lovely guide, always kept us happy and smiling Gun - where do it start !!!! Honestly the BEST person ever, cant even begin to start on how amazing gun has made this trip. He is in a different league to the other guides - he’s so aware and attentive to how people feel and is really good at reading situations and making sure everyone is happy. He is the backbone of the group- he just bounces off everyone and that’s something I’ve not seen any other guide do. And his energy is next level, the is no way you could be sad in a group with him. This tour wouldn’t have been no where near as good without him, he is honestly is the nicest person ever. He helped me when ever I would needed it and would always check that I was ok - for home the job was 24/7. He was the only tour guide on this group I’ve genuinely felt safe with - as he knows his way round and how to sort out any situation - where as the others you can tell don’t. No tour guide could match, he made this trip from a 0 to 10. He is the only person I will keep in contact with after this trip. Couldn’t of wanted anything more, exceed all my expectations. Every trip by this agency needs to be run by gun. My G. All the activities on the the tour have been amazing - such a wide range of stuff that would suit everyone. It’s the kinda stuff you couldn’t do as a backpacker. Pushes you out of your comfort zone. And the places you stay are really nice.
Just finished my 9 day thai intro tour and it was AMAZING!!! This is a tour everyone should exerperienze. It had a lot of fun activities, amazing people, fabulous views, great cultures, good food and ofcourse the best experiences. If you are thinking about booking this trip don’t just book it right now. He clearly knows what he is doing, and was always there when we needed him.
