The accommodations were great. The owner and his family did not live there, but came by each morning to have breakfast for us and help us get started each day. Nicer than the pictures online. Probably the nicest place in the area. 15 minute walk to the bear restaurants in the area. The walk was safe but Old Havana is a fraction of what it once was. The Cuban people are wonderful but are clearly dealing with a tough situation.
Review of Havana Homestay & Varadero Experience The tour and the guide were excellent, and we saw a lot more than we were expecting in Havana. They were also flexible in letting us see some places on our list so we appreciate it. The hosts in Varadero were also very accompanying especially when we asked to stay a couple extra nights. Overall the tour was fantastic.
Cuba had been on my bucket list for a very long time and it did not disappoint. What an amazing trip this was, perfect in every way! Cuba offers so much: beautiful and diverse countryside, colourful historic towns ,fantastic beaches and the friendliest people I have ever met. I was also very lucky to share this experience with a lovely group of like-minded people who made this experience extra special.
