The High Inca Trail

The High Inca Trail was more challenging than expected albeit very rewarding. Trip starts at high altitude and within a few days, there are a couple of long climbs that would not be a problem if it were not for the altitude. That said, I believe it was extremely beneficial doing The High Inca Trail (as opposed to just the Inca Trail) (which includes the Salkantay pass) as this most definitely prepares you for the part of the walk on the Inca Trail which climbs to 4,125 making this walk more enjoyable.

Places are awesome. There are only 2 hotels that i don't like bec. of the AC problem & most hotels are on the outskirts. Optional tours are expensive. Like the one at Mt. Etna for €125 which includes a lunch but only a sandwich was given. That restaurant was offering the same tour for €45 with a complete lunch package. Optional tours rate are quite expensive. Better if this optional tours are already included on the price of the original tour package and just adjust the price rather than make us feel cheated. Thats not a good feeling & trustworthiness is at stake!

I went on this trip with a mate of mine from Australia. From the start communication with Nepal Lion was clear and effective. We ended up booking a few things as well as the trek with Nepal Lion because the service was so great. the trek itself was with a lovely smiley fellow named Bishnu and he made the trip very enjoyable. The Poon Hill view was incredible. Would definitely recommend to anyone that's serious about getting some amazing photos and doing some adventure exercise.
