Absolutely fabulous trip! If you are considering booking, don't hesitate you will love it. Cuba is totally unique and I feel privileged to have cycled Cuba before it changes. A full itinerary, combining cycling through vibrant Havana, small villages with very friendly people, alongside sugar plantations and even forest trails with crabs! A real mixed bag with lots of variation and even offered visits to museums with history briefings and a couple of chances to visit clubs and sample salsa. Laz was an excellent guide and one of the best I have experienced with Exodus.
Week long tour of western Cuba stopping off at loads of interesting and enjoyable locations: just some were Cienfuegos, Trinidad, pottery studio and 'have a go', Vinales Valley and tobacco/coffee plantation with fascinating demonstrations and of course not forgetting the wonderful Havana.
Lovely places to stay and very very good food.
Step into Cuba and step into Dr Who's TARDIS. Your senses will be bombarded by such a variety of experiences that you sometimes won't know when you are, never mind where you are! 18th century colonial Spain? Early 20th century American mafia? 1950s American cars? A sprinkling (thankfully) of 1970s Russia? Or out in the countryside are you in 19th century anywhere, where the main form of personal transport is by horse and cart, and ox-driven ploughs still work the fields? One thing you can be sure about is that it will keep changing as you keep travelling.
