As a usual spain packaged family holiday guy, my son wanted to do something exciting with his dad before he goes to Uni, So this was completely out of my comfort zone. I researched the holidays on the net and i thought Exodus was by far the best.And what an amazing experiance!, Here i was the other side of the world trekking up and down mountains, with fantastic views. Talk about tough, but i dug deep and completed it everyday. And what a fantastic group of people, all friendly and willing to discuss their prevoius adventures.And thanks for Barry for lending me his shades.

The trip that my niece and I did was absolutely brilliant I cannot recommend this trip highly enough and this travel company they are the best. We also had a very kind and lovely driver Aruma he was very informative We stayed in fabulous 3 and 4 star hotels with good food and service. There are quite a few of the trips that are included but we paid extra for the botanical gardens which was absolutely beautiful, the temple of the tooth in Kandy, a fabulous catamaran down the river and a safari with the elephants all very reasonably priced. The country is stunningly beautiful with paddyfields, beautiful flowered lily pads, coconut trees, banana trees and beautiful wildlife and birds.We had a great train ride to Ella which is a very trendy funky Town we, had meditation with a monk. Climbed Adams peak which is high up in the mountains and the 360 view you get from the top, we picked tea and visited a factory very interesting there was so many other things that we did the best of it was visiting the elephant rehabilitation and sanctuary. Seeing tiny 6 week old elephants being fed and the safari was fabulous we were no more than 12 ft away from big bull elephants in the Jeep. Lovely haridra resort and spa at Wadduwa where we spent our last 4 days relaxing by a very quiet peaceful sandy beach and I can thoroughly recommend the service and the lovely food at this hotel.

This is not a trip for cissies! Early starts, long bus and train journeys, heat, dust, cold, and sometimes days without sight of a tiger (plus the dreaded Delhi belly) – this is a trip that involves hard graft. But the rewards, if you see tigers, are beyond compare. We were fortunate enough to see 11 tigers and those moments will live in my memory bank forever. Equally, we endured the disappointment of four back-to-back drives in Bandhavgarh without seeing a single stripe. You have to be prepared for both eventualities. However, one of my favourite drives in Kanha was when we saw no tigers but witnessed a whole range of wildlife including Barasingha, jackals, jungle cats, Gaur, deer, wild boar, wild dogs, monkeys and a spectacular array of birds
