A good start with the best coffee i've ever had by the lake nr Hanoi Hotel The holiday was extremely varied, showing so many aspects of Vietnam - chaotic cities with 'formation dancing' motorbikes ignoring most traffic lights but managing never to collide - the peace and quiet of Halong Bay and the Mekong Delta. The hotels and their buffet breakfasts were all top class, the 'homestay' was more like a basic 'eco hotel' , was in a peaceful spot and had bikes you could borrow. The original itinerary bike trip in Hue was discontinued, but made up for in Hoi An, with a ride plus a coracle and boat trip and the bonus that bikes could be kept for the rest of the day. I took advantage of this whilst Margaret went for the best massage she has ever had! The Reunification Express was very comfortable and could only be improved on if you were allowed to hang out of the doors or ride on the roof.! I could have done without the CuChi tunnels and would have preferred a 2/3 hr walk in quiet, scenic countryside as an option. All in all - A great holiday with a great group.

The Manaslu 12 day was a true adventure! We did the trek during the off season in July. Our guide facilitated the details of our trip seamlessly so it went as well as possible considering we had quite a bit of rain during the trek. There was also a lot of cloud cover so the mountain views were not what we expected, especially at Larke pass. The first couple days of travel were tough with a 12 hour bus ride to the trail head (longer than normal due to steep dirt road and mud)- I recommend opting to hire a private jeep starting in Gorkka if you can. On the first 2 days of hiking, sections of the road were under heavy construction, combined with landslides overnight made our footing slippery, steep and frightening at times. Our guide helped us navigate it safely. After those first few days the footing improved a lot and we had gorgeous waterfall views and pleasant conditions. The tea house accommodations were varied. Most were basic with the essentials and neat. Most had cold showers. The food was excellent almost everywhere (because it's off season and they only had to cook for our small group). A few tea houses were stunning (Dyang and Namrung) and a couple were no ideal (Daramasala near Larke). Our lunch stops we're great too overall. In general, I would try to do this trek NOT in the off season. This company is great. Have fun!

It was our first time to Nepal and trekking. Khum and Dev looked after us from start to finish. Dev organised everything day to day and looked after us in the mountains completely. He took us to wonderful tea houses and gave us a detailed briefing everyday. Dev re-organised out trip so than we could go to Chitwan at the end of our trekking. I can’t recommend Dev enough as a guide and we felt totally safe with him. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful country with us.
