Very well-run tour of a great destination

This was a fascinating insight into a country I knew little about. The pace was good, and both the sites and the sights were interesting and varied. With one exception, the accomodation was better than my expectations. We were 15 people in a full-size coach, a real luxury for the several long drives. It was great to be able to swap sides to see a better view, or join others for a chat. The group were a pleasant assortment of people who got on well with each other and were enjoyable company.

I really appreciated the fast reply to all of my mails as well as the pick up service from the airport, where Krishna was holding a sign with my name rather than the name of the company. I have to add.. there are heaps of people waiting outside the airport and it felt quite stressing after almost 24 hours of flight. The hotel was close to the office and the main backpacking area, and it was definitely easy to find my way around in Thamel. Flight and trekking permits were organized before my arrival. Even though I didn't felt at easy to transfer the money for my trip to an bank account in Nepal, it turned out already and wasn't of a problem. Personally had a only experienced troubles with the pick up taxi to Lukla and back to the airport, which is probably not the tour operator's fault, though it happened to me 3 times. All in all I had a great trip with this operator, and can recommend them to everybody.

We had not done an adventure family holiday before and were unsure as to what to expect. Any anxieties were very quickly dispelled and we had a memorable 14 days discovering Vietnam from north to south. The schedule was paced so that we had time to recover from flights and travelling. The heat took some getting used to. Our tour guide said that Vietnam has two types of weather, hot and hotter, so don't pack a jumper! There were five other families on the tour and we all got along really well. Our tour guide Huyen Nguyen made sure everything went smoothly and imparted her in depth knowledge of Vietnam giving us context and descriptions of her beautiful country. The tour was a mix of activities from rickshaws in Hanoi, Cooking classes in Hoi An and relaxing at Whale island. We didn't really get into the history of the "American War" until late into the tour which was good, because Vietnam is so much more than its history! The Vietnamese people were warm, welcoming and generous. It is also helpful that English is spoken widely and quite well, which is useful as the Vietnamese language is very difficult to understand. The food was really tasty and we enjoyed the Ban-mi in particular. One final note, the Hotels were really good, particularly the Sincerity Hotel in Hoi An which has a very good swimming pool.
