Camino - Samos to Santiago

A great experience, walking the last 100 km of the Camino Frances. Great scenery, good basic hotels with friendly staff and lovely authentic food. You can't beat a three course 'menu del dia' with bread and wine or water for only 10 euro. I walked with a group of 16 and we really enjoyed each others company. It rained for two of the six days but that didn't affect the mood. Longest days walk was 18 miles but with coffee and lunch stops it didn't seem that far. Last two nights in Santiago allowed us to unwind and really enjoy the old city

The Walking in Puglia and Matera guided tour gives an excellent introduction to the heel of Italy. This trip stayed at three hotels, all very good. Comfortable and clean rooms, great breakfast choices plus swimming pools at two of the three. The walking was varied from strolling through olive groves in Puglia to scrambling around the rocky gorge at Matera. The towns with trulli houses and the incredible rock city of Matera were memorable.

I recently returned form the "Scenic Europe" tour with my husband and 5 kids ages 10-20. We all had a fabulous time! The highlights included the Jungfraujoch train ride in the Swiss Alps (best day ever!), gondola ride in Venice, ALL of the food in Italy, daily gelato, lake and mountains views in the Dolomites, Munich, and our 18 year old daredevil daughter went paragliding in Switzerland over the lakes and mountains in Interlaken. Frankie, our bus driver kept the coach nice and cool- so refreshing after long walks. Rachelle, our tour leader, was superb. She made everyone feel so comfortable, and our group bonded so well. Rachelle was so efficient, and she saved us so much time by pointing us in the right direction at every turn. We moved along at the perfect pace. It left all of the kids wanting more- they were so sad when the trip was over. It was the first time in 20 years we went for a 9 day stretch without hearing cries of "I'm bored" a single time! We are already planning our net EXPAT tour!
