Best Time To Visit Ireland
Best Time To Visit Ireland
Ireland is a country that is entrenched in the culture, history, and mysticism, and a history enthusiast’s paradise with its stone-based architecture and a melting pot of Irish, Gaelic, and Celtic cultures. The untarnished and unvarnished taste of Ireland can be felt everywhere from its landmarks to its uber-modern cityscapes. You can see history everywhere, from the monuments at Bru Na Boinne to the Slea Head in Kerry. Geographically, you will find that Ireland can be a very diverse, yet daunting country with its peninsulas of the southwest, the wilderness of Donegal, and the hills of the southeast.Ireland also has a lot to offer culturally, you could watch a play in Dublin, visit Trinity College, or even attend a gig at a limerick saloon. Ireland has something for everyone since it is a country emerging as a popular destination, with its hotels and resorts consistently upping their game. As with most countries, it is critical to find out when the weather in Ireland is just right for your visit. Want to know when to travel to Ireland? Read on to find out!
Ireland in January: Weather, Festivals and More!
Ireland in January: Weather, Festivals and More!
Ireland has plenty to offer for culture vultures, history buffs and hardy hikers. The country’s weather conditions during this time are cold and wet while days are shorter. This could discourage some visitors from looking forward to hiking. However, for others, early nightfall is part of what makes the Irish pub culture so vibrant. Moreover, local attractions across the country are open year-round and are far less crowded during this month than at other times of the year. Plus, there are local festivals happening too. Plan a trip to Ireland in January and you will not be disappointed.
Ireland in February: Weather, Fewer Crowds and More!
Ireland in February: Weather, Fewer Crowds and More!
Ireland is cold, wet, and windy in February. It is not surprising then that the country sees very few tourists during this time. But this also means you will practically have the whole country to yourself. While it is true that some parts of Ireland are inaccessible in February, especially its hills and trekking routes, the country still has many beautiful sites to explore.Head out to discover the spectacular Ring of Kerry, admire the country’s snowy landscape, go pub-hopping while touring Dublin ad enjoy local festivals. Regardless of the weather, there are still plenty of places to explore during your trip to Ireland in February.
Ireland in March: Weather, Tips and More!
Ireland in March: Weather, Tips and More!
The first signs of spring are apparent in Ireland in March, but winter has not lost its bite. Expect more sunshine and fewer cold, wet days toward the end of the month, but Ireland’s weather can still be unpredictable. Capital Dublin is inviting, as are the bigger towns like Galway and Cork in spring. You can also spend time in Killarney National Park, explore archeological sites at the Rock of Cashel, and experience the joys of a coastal walk along the Cliffs of Moher. Ireland Tour Reviews

Honest insights from past guests on our Ireland tours

Laurie R. | Traveled in June

We did so much while on this trip … covered cities, countrysides, tourist attractions, smaller family-run experiences, and the amount of free time was perfect! Our guide was extremely knowledgable in the history of the countries which was a tremendous benefit! I learned so much about the history of Ireland and Scotland, and that mixed with everything that we saw and did made this vacation, exceptional.

The Irish Wonder tour was fantastic. ALthough you are always on the go, you really cover the entire country with the most amazing sites. MY only gripe is that sometimes you want to spend a little more time in one location.

This is a very full itinerary. We saw all the major sights. The hotels that we stayed in were all quite comfortable with nice amenities. The coach was very comfortable and the only way possible to cover such a lot of ground in a short time

Brenda A. | Traveled in June

The itinerary was perfect. What really made our journey memorable was the tour director. Sean took the time to listen to what we wanted to do, even took input from all of us during the trip. He planned a special birthday toast to those of us celebrating during our trip. We got lost once and made it back to the bus 10 minutes late. He was so gracious about it. He gave us so many options and good information about every stop, places to eat, shop, and explore. He was so helpful in giving us information about our extended stay, how to make connections, and guiding us onto the next leg of our vacation. As a company, you can plan the best itinerary, but without an exceptional tour guide, it would be just a nice trip. Sean made it so special for us....unforgettable.

Make sure you pack extension cords as some of the host hotels do not have outlets next to beds. All hotel rooms were clean but small. Covered over 1,900 miles so be prepared to be on the bus allot. Beautiful country to ride through. Hopefully you will have a host that shares the history and stories to make the time pass as joyfully as Francesca did for our group. Fantastic tour.

This tour was a great way to experience Ireland at its best. You visit large cities of Dublin and Galway, and beautiful smaller towns such as Waterford, Kilkenny, Limerick and Sligo. The optional experiences were all fully worth the money. Ireland history is featured with visits to the Epic museum and Dunbrody famine ship, and the travel director is an expert in Irish history and culture. The bus was very comfortable, and luggage porterage was handled expertly. Breakfasts were full buffets with hot and cold options. We always had plenty of lunch options and included and optional dinners were very good. We had a full bus (around 45 people) but I feel everyone had a wonderful time and was able to participate in activities they wanted (shopping, quiet time, visiting with others, exploring historical sites, etc.).
