Czech Republic Tours and Trips

337 reviews on bookmundi

Prague is certainly the jewel in the Czech Republic’s crown, with iconic Charles Bridge and plenty of wonderful food, wine and bicycle tours to enjoy. However, the country has much more to offer. Visit Český Krumlov and walk around its UNESCO-listed castle and gardens, or pop by Brno for some (far underrated) architecture and art that give Prague a run for its money!

Czech Republic Tour Reviews

Honest insights from past guests on our Czech Republic tours

Three days in each city is very beneficial. It gives the traveler more time to experience what each city has to offer. ************ was a terrific tour director. He was very knowledgeable, patient, and helpful. He helped to make the trip very enjoyable.

Everything went smoothly. Our tour guide Kate picked excellent sites for us to visit and the optinal experience were fantastic as the restaurants. What I liked about the tour is that we were always a few days in each country which made the tour more enjoyable. One thing that surprised me was when our specialist in Vienna mentioned that Canadians were now the rudess people . That statement was inappropriate, she was hired to inform us about the history of Vienna. Beside that little hic cup we're anxious to go on another tour

I loved not having to re-pack my suitcase since we spent 3 nights in each city. We also visited popular places before they were open to the public so we had the place to ourselves. I also loved that our tour director knew where all the clean restrooms were.

Rob was an excellent tour director worked very hard to see that everyone on the tour had an excellent time. The bus driver was great maneuvering the bus to get us to all of our destinations. The local specialists are very knowledgeable and friendly.

Very well organized. Optional extras we selected were worth it. Anything extra could have been an information overload. Hotels were top class and centrally located. Be my quest outings were also excellent. Tour director, bus driver and local specialists were very good. All in all a holiday we enjoyed to the fullest and would recommend without reservation.

All aspects of this trip were first rate. The hotels were very nice, the driver and tour director were professional, friendly, extremely helpful and fun. The optional experiences were worth the extra cost, interesting and enjoyable. And there was no pressure to do or not do them. This was our third Trafalgar bus tour and we have thoroughly enjoyed each one and recommended them to others.

Czech Republic Tours - Highlights and Travel Trips

The Czech Republic may be a small country, but it is full of stunning sights. The country is probably best known for its ornate castles, world-renowned spas and wineries, and gorgeous Baroque art and architecture. It is probably equally famous for its many breweries, and the Czechs drink more beer per capita than in any other country. Whether you’re visiting colourful Prague, relaxing in Karlovy Vary or taking in romantic Bohemian Paradise, there is no end of things to do in the beautiful “land of stories”.

Tour Highlights

  • Pretend you are royalty at one of the country’s 2,000 + castles.
  • Admire the incredible libraries of the Klementinum and Strahov Monastery.
  • Drink the mineral waters of Karlovy Vary’s many hot springs as they are said to have healing properties.
  • Cross the famous Charles Bridge into Prague’s Old Town.
  • Take a selfie in front of the vibrant John Lennon wall.
  • Hike the Prachov Rocks.
  • Visit Plzeň, the Czech Republic’s capital of beer (you can even soak in a tub of pilsner!).

Travel Tips

  • Prague is best seen from above. Head to Prague Castle or climb the astronomical tower at the Klementinum for some of the best views of the capital city.
  • Travelling around the Czech Republic is easy and inexpensive. Most towns are connected via train and bus, and you can even travel to Germany or Austria for less than 600 CZK!
  • You can’t miss tasting a Trdelník (a chimney cake), a traditional sweet treat made of dough rolled in sugar and filled with an assortment of tasty fillings.
  • Tipping isn’t mandatory in the Czech Republic, but it is advised to tip about 10% or rounding up your bill for good service. Always give the tip directly to your waiter rather than leaving it on the table.
  • If you enjoy getting outdoors, the Czech Republic is a great destination for hiking with marked trails leading to incredible sights like the Karlstejn Castle.
