The tour was great in general and the tour leader and the coach driver were amazing to all of us. The reason I'm giving 4 out of 5 stars is because a couple of hotels were in very bad shape and on top of that, the staff of those particular hotels were not very friendly or organized. It is not a critic directly to Expat, rather than a suggestion, because Expat´s providers could be the cause of inconveniences with the travelers.

all the places we went were amazing and our tour guide Bianca was absolutely full of information! I rated 4 stars only because i would have liked more varied optional activities... all the included activities seemed to be selling a product and less about our enjoyment.

We sped accross France, Switzerland, Italy, Austria, Germany and Netherlands experiencing most of the important sights. Classified as "Seniors", I am sure there was some concern about us keeping up to the pace. The tour involves quite a bit of fast paced walking and you need to be able to keep up. We were able to keep up most of the time and were able to see and hear about some of the most places on tour. Having free days in some of the bigger cities does provide opportunity to see some things at a more leasurly pace, but we decided to go on the optional excusions and tap into the knowledge being imparted by our tour leader and local guides. Jungfrau (although a bit expensive) is a MUST do (although there was a blizzard when we were there and could not venture out of the buildings.) The train journey up the mountain was a magical experience! It was raining and bitterly cold in Venice, but brave (or stupid) as we were, we ventured onto the Gondolas - an experience we can think back on. The Expat tour leader and driver were extremely helpful and entertaing and made this an experience we will not forget. Hotel accommodation fitted our budget and was for the most part of good value. We used alot of public transport and became quite expert in Paris, Winterwil, Rome and Amsterdam.
