Beaches, cliffs, sand and storks A really enjoyable holiday in a beautiful location. It was fun to have the opportunity to visit different areas and staying in multiple locations meant that we got to see more of the area. The organisation was super smooth in every aspect. The coastline is very unspoilt with the most amazing views, and the beaches seemed never ending; one more beautiful than the next. The storks perched on the ends of the rocks are just amazing and with binoculars and zoom lens we could get really close to them. Our expert guides were passionate and enthusiastic about this lovely region and brought it to life with their knowledge of the landscape and history.
My partner and I have been on several group walking and cycling holidays but this was the most enjoyable to date, in large part due to our excellent tour leader, Michele, but also due to the group itself. Michele has excellent local knowledge ranging across the history, architecture and culture of the areas and towns we visited as well as where to eat really good lunches and dinners. We all much appreciated the frequent opportunities to indulge in ice-cream.
Hit the spot for group walking pleasure. As a solo traveller and walker it always makes a wonderful change to quit the usual track of UK holidaying and go abroad to join a group.Walking on ones own is all very well but I do get that extra motivation by being in a crowd with a good leader. There is opportunity to socialise or be on ones own; however the walks were so good on this holiday that any omission would be detrimental to the pleasure of the entire holiday.Going to Greoux les Bains with the tour operator was particularly pleasurable and worthwhile - for walking, culture and company. This is the first time I've been with the operator and it will not be the last.
