Great First Trip to Italy

This was a great trip. It provided great hotels and a good core itinerary for landmark highlights. It allowed for flexibility to add our personal preferences during free time. We also did not want to feel like we were running from city to city and specifically chose this trip to concentrate on the must-see cities for our first trip to Italy. Be aware that if you like some of the optional excursions listed, you need to book them ahead of time when you pay for the trip. Otherwise, you can book these through other online sources while there.

Beautiful, unspoilt countryside and a very clean hotel providing excellent food. The Rodopi Mountains provide the perfect destination for moderate grade walking. A centre based walking holiday works well in the Rodopis as there are a variety of walks either directly from the hotel or just a short bus ride away.
