I recently went on the Best of the Adriatic Tour, and it was an unforgettable experience. The itinerary was well-planned, with a perfect balance of guided tours and free time to explore on our own. Our tour guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and always went above and beyond to ensure that we had a great experience.
Cycling Bosnia & Montenegro Potentially a brilliant trip, but needs some fine tuning. The Day Plans need reviewing - e.g Day 4 we did the beautiful ferry ride to the village of Rose, then headed up a pretty wicked incline but were stopped after 4km's for a +2hr olive grove tour! We then had to cycle on until gone 5pm in the rain to the outskirts of Kotor...there must be another olive grove...everybody complained about the early location of the stop. Equally Day 5 has that excellently sadistic 29 switchback climb up to Lovcen National Park...awesome..but why stop at the isolated alpine-style hotel, we were there by 3pm and were all bored senseless...made even worse by the relatively short ride the next morning to the historically fascinating (and with a much better supply of restaurants) town of Cetinje. We all agreed that we should have overnighted there rather than in the blasted hills. So, yes, a really good trip but the route needs some tweaking.
The Croatia Coast and Canyons walk was a great vacation for us. The scenery was stunning and our guides were top notch. They were not only knowledgeable about the places we visited, but we learned a great deal about Croatian culture as well. The group size was perfect for getting to know new people and it felt like we were a team by the end of the journey.
