About Rosa

I was born and raised in Montilla, a small town in the province of Córdoba. After earning my degree in languages at the University of Granada, I worked for 14 years in international sales. During those years working for different companies, I had a recurring dream: opening my own small boutique travel agency. I wanted to make travelers fall in love with Spain by offering bespoke experiences that would remain forever in their souls. I was tired of seeing big groups of tourists being herded around under the merciless sun of Cordoba. It was about time authentic travelers, who appreciate quality time and true human connections, could have the opportunity to learn more about our culture and savor the magic taste of life in Spain. In 2013 I decided it was the right moment to follow my passion and my company, Just Explore, was born. They say that home is where the heart is, and mine definitely belongs to Spain. I feel passion and love for what this magical country has to offer and I want to share this contagious feeling with my guests. I love meeting new people and getting to know them really well so my team and I can design the perfect trip for them. I believe that personal touch is what makes the difference.

Rosa's Expertise

I specialize in theme tours around Southern Spain, Portugal and Bordeaux, France. I am an expert at designing the most exciting and unique experiences, no matter what your interests are. Some examples include architecture and history tours lead by art historian guides, local producers and farmers, family-owned wineries, culinary activities, wildlife and birdwatching, hiking, cycling, kayaking, and even flower tastings inside a private courtyard. One of our unique and most exclusive experiences is an evening patio tour and a rooftop sunset experience over the great Mosque of Cordoba, in Andalucia. Not many tourists get the chance to visit the courtyards of Unesco Heritage-listed private houses, and then enjoy a glass of wine, delicious Iberico ham, and manchego cheese on a private terrace overlooking the impressive architecture of one most incredible sites ever built in a western Muslim country! Anything you can possibly imagine or wish, I'll make it happen. I love my country in general, and my region (Southern Spain) in particular, and I love planning the perfect itineraries to create those truly unforgettable memories.

Best Travel Experience

A truly memorable experience I had was a trip I took to Galicia in the western part of Spain. I stayed in the most beautiful parador, in the middle of the mountains, with spectacular views! I did a boat trip around the Miño river and explored the unspoiled Ribera Sacra, which is full of romanesque monasteries and vineyards. The trip included a picnic onboard, by a very beautiful waterfall, the most serene and peaceful place to grab some homemade food and taste local wines. Just a fabulous outdoor day!

I have the contacts, and I know how to get off the beaten path and make your trip very special and truly unique. I take my time beforehand (normally during my holidays) to inspect and explore what we offer so I can be confident about the authenticity of the travel experience. I love getting deeply involved in the organization of the whole travel planning from start to finish. I add that "Rosa touch" that makes the whole experience soo much personal! Getting to know my guests is a teaching journey for me. I love the interaction and the exchange of cultures. I listen to what travelers want and which priorities they have so I can deliver the perfect trip they've been dreaming of. There is nothing more rewarding than a guest's smile whilst on a tour. I personally enjoy a lot meeting our guests, getting to know them, taking them to my favorite local bars, sharing anecdotes, and a laugh.
