Trentino-South Tyrol Tour Reviews

Challenging but fun ride from Bolzano to Venice. The challenge came not so much from the distance and occasional hills but rather from the cycle path conditions. A lot of gravel paths that were slippery and rough going.
Our self-guided walk through the Dolomites was an unforgettable experience. The route was exceptionally well-planned, with clear and easy-to-follow instructions that made navigating the trails a breeze. The scenery was absolutely breathtaking—towering peaks, lush valleys, and dramatic landscapes at every turn. Accommodation along the way was comfortable and welcoming, and the luggage transfers were seamless, allowing us to focus entirely on the walk and the views. The combination of logistical ease and stunning natural beauty made this trip truly stand out. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a well-supported adventure in one of Europe’s most spectacular mountain regions.
Our self-guided trek was really well supported. Very helpful information about local bus routes and hiking options (especially regarding tram availability where needed). All accommodations were first rate — warm and welcoming, in good locations. A couple of the hiking stages were more challenging than we expected, but overall a fantastic trek through a spectacular part of the Dolomites.
Our Backroads to Venice self guided trip was absolutely fantastic. The bike paths In northern Italy are incredible and so well maintained we were on a few minor back road but never with a lot of traffic. Scenery was absolutely incredible all the way, much of the path was along the Adige river which was stunning. We upgraded to electric bikes which we were extremely happy with. We had no problems at all. They were easy to use and very long battery life. We were also provided with a lock to lock the bikes up in town. They also had a lock as a part of the bike frame, so we always felt safe leaving them The week of our ride was 35 Celsius plus every day which was a little unfortunate but we were thankful for the electric bike, we just had to leave earlier to avoid the heat of the day We upgraded to the better quality Hotel. They were all excellent, particularly the Bolzano Hotel. All of our breakfasts were delicious and plentiful. The app was very easy to use and very accurate. Highly recommend a handlebar holder for your phone. We took a padded seat cover, which I’m very thankful for. Highly recommend this ride.
I offer the following comments First, Jenny and Mark were extraordinary tour leaders. They were thoughtful, attentive and kind. and very knowledgeable Second, the walks were great; the scenery delightful. Third, while I am not a coffee drinker, I heard a number of our group wish the hotel's dining room would offer coffee/tea before the 730 am start to breakfast. some of the group awoke early and would have dearly liked a good cup of coffee, and there was none to be had. please consider. Fourth, we started each day with a bus ride. However, the local buses were often late or the lines of riders very very long, thus delaying the start to our hikes. Please consider having a bus available for the group to start the day.
This trip was stunning and up there with one of the best I have done with Exodus. You can chose between grade 3 and grade 5 walks every day, which gives you the freedom to decide how challenging your days are. I opted for grade 5 every day and chose to enjoy my free day at thr QC Terme Dolomiti spa which was a welcomed relax between the walks. The weather was stunning during the days and walks varied, every walk was breath taking and offered something different, even though I don't think you could ever get bored of the scenary. Campitello di fassa was a lovely town to be based in, it has everything you needed without feeling too big or busy.
