I am originally from London, but after buying a house in Portugal about 20 years ago, I eventually decided to move here full-time 10 years ago. Initially, I focused only on the Algarve region, where I live, but then the focus was increased to all of Portugal. Later on, that focus was increased again to cover all of Spain and its islands. Nowadays, more and more people are trading traditional success for a better quality of life, and this is what I did. After 10 years in the world of finance, I exchanged my suits for flip-flops, armed with the goal of discovering the world and obtaining more personal satisfaction. I came across Mexico because I traveled around the country as a tourist a few times and I literally fell in love with the culture, diversity, and lifestyle. I feel the greatest enthusiasm for diving. There are very few places on this planet that allow us to explore the underwater world like Mexico, its lagoons, coasts, and rivers. It is difficult to become aware of the natural beauty of this country until you have ventured into the underwater world. Add to that the beautiful nature and the enormous jungles, and Mexico is an absolute paradise.

I discovered the Maldives almost 20 years ago, visiting as a scuba diver in search of mantas and whale sharks. I was fortunate and found a reasonably priced resort that allowed me to stay and indulge in my hobby. But then came along development and my well-loved resort went luxury and beyond my price range. So I moved to diving from a boat, which also enabled me to gain an understanding of local island life. I always consider myself lucky to have found a group of Maldivian friends who would invite me to their family homes for dinner, share afternoon hedhika, and invite me for coffee and beetle nuts! My love and appreciation of this country, its people, its culture, and its traditions were almost immediate and resulted in me visiting the archipelago on over 30 occasions. In 2012, the opportunity to relocate arose. I had at that point worked for UK retailer British Home Stores for over 25 years and felt it was time for a change so, with the support of a local businessman, we formed a tour company. Our mission is to introduce the real Maldives to guests and support local communities.

I was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I have always enjoyed traveling, going to new places, and meeting new people. I am also passionate about painting, photography, and the arts in general. I studied hotel management at the university in Buenos Aires and since, all of my work experience has been in the hospitality and tourism industry. Right before I graduated, I had the opportunity to work at Stratton Mountain Ski Resort in Vermont, USA. That experience was a milestone for me and helped me discover how much I love meeting and interacting with people from all over the world. My curiosity to discover new places and cultures, and my love for nature, have led me to the travel industry. I love bringing people together and encouraging everybody to explore the world.

As a child, I spent a lot of time being active in nature not far from where we lived in Croatia. My parents often took me hiking, and this is how I learned to enjoy the little things and to respect and preserve our Mother Nature. After school, I worked in an agency that organized school trips within Croatia, and as a guide, I visited almost every corner of my country. Over time, my love for nature and animals only increased, and caring for the environment became an essential part of my nature trips. I love spending time outdoors and spend most of my free time wandering and exploring around, in the company of family, friends, and two dogs. Life is simple, and the simplicity of life is the key to its quality and overall happiness. I want to share that with our clients. It's beautiful everywhere, you just have to see it.

I am proudly Mexican and passionate about travel. I have had the opportunity to visit 25 different countries but during the past 4 years, I have been focused on exploring and sharing the hidden treasures in my country, Mexico! My personal interests are learning about the ancient history and culture in my country, to connect with my roots. I must have been destined to start a tour company. My father set up a bus company in 1986, and from a young age, I was always involved in the business, whether it was answering phones or cleaning the vehicles. I have also always been very sportive, and I love hiking and biking. I love meeting people from around the globe and hearing their stories. So, after graduating from college with a degree in Business and Tourism, I set up my own tour company. In 2008, after a few years exploring the island of Ireland and some lessons learned along the way, I decided it was time to introduce my innovative style of travel to the whole island of Ireland, where the real adventure was waiting to begin. My tourism style is all about taking travelers to remote destinations, visiting places of breathtaking scenery, meeting inspiring people, and experiencing great hospitality. All mixed together with stories of legendary history and culture. When you share these unique adventures with a great group of people from all over the world… well, that is when the real Irish spirit comes into play!

My name is Andrés Úlfur and I was born and raised in Iceland, although I have been very fortunate to have traveled a lot and lived abroad for many years throughout my life, experiencing and learning about different countries and cultures in different parts of our planet. I graduated as a cultural anthropologist from Hunter College in NY, and I have a great passion for nature, people, and local cultures and photography. I am also the founder and owner of a travel company focusing on nature and experiences in Iceland. I believe that passion and respect for our surroundings are vital in understanding not only our local nature and culture but also in understanding other people's cultures and their perspectives of life; a very important part of all traveling and sharing and enjoying together on our island of fire and ice.

I grew up in Dorset and spent many a summer traveling in Wales with family. After studying in Swansea and Oxford I became a town planner. I acquired extensive walking and mountaineering experience in the UK, Europe, America, and Nepal and began leading walking parties in the UK and France. In 2007, my dad and I launched our own travel company to share my knowledge and passion for magical landscapes. I have led many guided walking holidays, but I also prepare most of the trips we work on. Always jovial, with plenty of stories to tell, I'll be your perfect antidote to working in the office (or whatever work you are escaping from). My experience, qualifications, and interests in various subjects, including geography, geology, and the environment, provide an added dimension to all holidays.
